Mahogany Veneer Antique Furniture

			Fine, French, Louis XVI style bed (Item No. 947) Queen size, in solid mahogany with mahogany parquetry veneer and gilt bronze mounts. Circa 1880. Provenance: From the Vanderbilt country estate. 63" wide by 80" long

			Very fine French, Neoclassical style, brass-mounted bureau plat (Item No. 937) In solid mahogany with flame mahogany veneers, tapered, fluted legs terminating above elegant brass mounts, original hand-tooled leather, five drawers, and tirets (pull-out surfaces) on both sides. Circa 1830. 64" wide (94" with both tirets extended) by 31" deep by 30" high

			Very fine, French, Louis XVI period, brass mounted console desserte (Item No. 927) In solid mahogany and mahogany veneers. Of demi-lune form with three functioning drawers and original hardware. Circa 1780. Stamped "E. AVRIL JME". (Etienne Avril, Master 1774, was a principle supplier of furniture to Marie Antoinette at the Château de Saint-Cloud.) 58" wide by 35" high by 18" deep

			Very fine, French, Louis XVI style, brass-mounted, dining table (Item No. 858) The oval top with three extensions above an apron raised on six fluted, tapering legs terminating in brass casters. In solid mahogany and mahogany veneers. Early to mid-19th century. 29¼" high by 38" deeep by 48½" (closed) and 110" long (fully extended)

			Very fine, Spanish, Neoclassical, flame mahogany and parcel-gilt coiffeuse (Item No. 824) Circa 1820. Provenance: Collection d' Ariane Dandois. 82" high by 34¾" wide by 20¼" deep

			Restauration period, extending dining table (Item No. 638) In solid mahogany and flame mahogany veneer with fluted, tapering legs above castors. Extends to 22 feet (seats 22). Early 19th century.

			French, Louis XV style, bronze mounted tric trac table (Item No. 775) In mahogany with mahogany, pearwood, and ebony veneers. Top chess/checkers surface reverses to reveal leather writing surface. Inside reveals inlaid backgammon surface. With drawers at each side to hold gaming pieces. Late 18th or early 19th century.

			Very fine, French, Louis XVI period tric trac table (Item No. 759) In solid mahogany and mahogany veneers with brass trim. Gold-embossed leather writing surface reverses to reveal felt card-playing surface. Inside reveals original ebony and ivory inlaid backgammon board. Tapered, fluted legs ending in brass casters. Two drawers hold matching white and green-tinted ivory playing pieces. Late 18th century. 45" wide by 24" deep by 29" high

			French, Transition Louis XV-XVI writing desk (Item No. 20) Pearwood, mahogany, ebony, and rosewood parquetry. Single drawer, brass-banded edge, finished back. Circa 1780's. 40½" wide by 29¼" deep
