French Régence giltwood table with nero antico marble top
The shaped rectangular top above diaper-carved frieze centered by a shell-form cartouche, the four diaper-carved legs with shell-carved knees terminating in hoof feet and united by X-form stretcher. From L'ile de France, circa 1725.

Ptolemaic to early Roman period (circa 332 b.c.-641 a.d.). On custom acrylic stand. Some losses and breaks, stabilized with metal brackets to reverse.

Pair of very fine, Regency, giltwood benches
In solid, carved giltwood, each with outscrolled-ends and a seat covered in cream silk damask by Brunscwhig & Fils, with paneled friezes applied with oak leaves and acorns, on incurved legs with lion's paw feet, the underside of each inscribed 65.1137 B and 38584.
Probably Northern European, circa 1810.
Provenance: Acquired from Partridge, London, 21 November 1990.
Each bench is 30½" high by 65" wide by 19½" deep

Pair of very fine Neoclassical period fauteuils of large dimension
In solid, carved giltwood. Circa 1780. Stamped "P H Poire JME" (Philippe Poirié, who was named Maître Ébéniste in 1765).
Poirié produced seating in the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles. While his Louis XV items were considered ordinary, his Louis XVI production was considered brilliant. His works are displayed in the Musee du Louvre, Musee de Beauvais, and Musee de Cognac-Jay.

Very fine, Empire period chandelier
In gilt bronze and patinated bronze, elaborately chased with ten arms, ornamented with winged angels crowned with laurel leaves, acanthus leaf corona, pinecone finial, and five chains adorned with acanthus leaves and grapes. Circa 1810.

In solid, carved giltwood; of Rocaille form with arbalette front, cabriole legs, acanthus ornament, original, Breche marble top, and upper and lower cartouche (pierced shell aprons). Mid-18th century.

Fine, Northern Italian, painted and parcel gilded table de milieu
With marble top having outset corners above a scrolling foliate-carved frieze (en arabesque), with female masks at the corners, the whole atop tapering, stop-fluted legs terminating in lion's paw feet. Circa 1780.
