Marquetry Antiques

			Very fine and rare Italian, Neo-classical period, Marquetry Inlaid, Demi-lune commode. (Item No. 891) From Rome, with scenes displaying ancient Roman ruins. Late 18th century.

			Pair of very fine, Louis XV period encoignures (corner cabinets) (Item No. 888) Having floral marquetry with butterflies in satinwood, amaranth, and tulipwood. Each with brèche d'Alep marble top above a pair of inalid bombé doors enclosing two shelves, each spuriously stamped P. GARNIER JME and further stamped RESTAURE/par P.SPOHN, one inscribed in white chalk 147, the aprons partially-reveneered, previously with angle mounts. Circa 1755. 36¼" high by 29¾" wide by 22" deep

			Very fine, Louis XV style, kingwood amaranth and gilt-bronze mounted commode (Item No. 880) 19th century. 53½" wide by 24½" deep by 36" high

			Very fine, French provincial, Louis XV period secretaire en bibliotheque (Item No. 872) From Southwestern France bearing the "Croix de Malte" in marquetry and with chapeau de gendarme cornice and arbalette façade on the drawers of the bottom compartment. Mid-18th century. 98½" high by 44¾" wide by 22½" deep

			William and Mary, floral marquetry inlaid, tall case clock (Item No. 615) Movement signed "Will Nickolls, London." Late 17th century. 79½" high by 18½" wide by 9" deep

			Very fine, Chinese export, black lacquer and Parcil gilt games table (Item No. 822) Featuring chess surface in mother of pearl and ebony and recessed backgammon board in the interior. Second quarter of the 19th century.

			Spanish, iron-mounted, polychrome, parcel-gilt and bone-inlaid Vargueño (travelling trunk on stand) (Item No. 821) In solid, carved walnut. 17th century. The rectangular case enclosing fourteen drawers and two cupboard doors, on a later walnut stand fitted with two small drawers and with later carved embellishments. 59½" high by by 47¾" wide by 17½" deep

			Very fine, Northern Italian, Neoclassical period, marquetry-inlaid commode (Item No. 825) In walnut. Circa 1785.

			Rare, Catalan, Baroque period caixa (Item No. 820) In solid, carved walnut with boxwood inlay. Having original hinged top of a single walnut board opening to reveal a partial compartment, the front with a hidden cupboard door opening to reveal three drawers. Late 17th or early 18th century. 25" high by 58" wide by 23½" deep

			Catalan, Baroque period, marquetry-inlaid, slant-front bureau (Item No. 816) In walnut veneer with boxwood inlay, monogram surmounted by a crown. Two small external drawers above three long drawers, with an additional six interior drawers behind fold-down writing compartment. First half of the 18th century. 49½" high by 46" wide by 23½" deep

			French, Louis XV-XVI Transition style commode (Item No. 391) With Neo-classical marquetry in numerous exotic woods. Late 18th or early 19th century. 49" wide by 23" deep by 33" high
