Circa 1870 by celebrated artist Narcisse Vivien (signed "NV").

Delicately cast bronze, crowned with two seated cherubim, one holding grapes and the other a triangle; the clock's face surmounted by a Bacchic mask, flanked by ram's heads and ornamental, flowering trees; the whole mercury gilded and liberally adorned with acanthus leaves and resting upon an alabaster base and highly stylized, toupee feet.

First half of the 19th century.

Sculpted in Sarrancolin marble, which was called "The Marble of Kings" because it was extracted from royal quarries beginning in 1692 under the reign of Louis XIV.

Of arbalette form with concave sides having elaborately beveled mantle and original cast iron interior and hearth. Circa 1830-1840.
