 | Very fine, Regency period, brass inlaid, rosewood center table (Item No. 847)
The circular tilt top with elaborate arabesque banding, finely molded apron, foliate carved and turned rosewood grained stem, incurvate triangular plinth, brass scroll feet, casters. Circa 1805.
Literature: see Margaret Jourdain's definitive book, Regency Furniture: 1795-1830 (revised by Ralph Fastnedge, 1965) illustrates a high-style rosewood center table with similar lobed pedestal, gadrooned collar and extensive brass inlay closely related to that on this lot, page 73, fig. 162.

The top of serpentine outline painted with a musical trophy and floral garlands above a center drawer fitted for cutlery, flanked by a cupboard door and a deep drawer all painted with garlands and trophies, raised on square tapered legs ending in spade feet painted with bell flower trails. First quarter of the 20th century.

With pierced framework carved with rose branches and husk swags amidst s and c-scrolls and surmounted by ho ho birds at the shoulders, centering a tiered scrollwork crest. Late 18th or early 19th century.

Comprised of two armchairs and six sidechairs, each with a shield shaped backrest, the splat painted with a flower filled urn, surrounded by foliate trails, above a padded seat, the rails painted with drapery, raised on square tapered legs. Possibly by Seddon, Sons, and Shackleton. Circa 1790.
