18th century, Louis XV-XVI petrin from Arles (Item No. 318)
In solid walnut. Carved motifs on this petrin (kneading trough) reflect the influence of both the Louis XV (themes of nature including a flower basket "corbeille a fleurs", and vines) and Louis XVI (neo-classical urns) periods.

From Alsace, France painted with the same characteristic pink and white roses seen on the faience from this region. The grape and wheat motif on the face and pendulum depict the many vineyards and wheat fields in this area.

Rare, 19th century, Provençal "estagnier" (plate rack) in carved walnut. A beautiful piece to complement a buffet or to hang alone to display collectibles.
